Fun With Geometry

Compass and straightedge are mathematically tools that are usually reserved for high school geometry classes but learners of all ages can be taught how to use these tools for basic design, measurement and geometry vocabulary. It is also a way to integrate art into the mathematics curriculum and at the same time turn those students on to math who are bored with the arithmetic part of the subject. A compass and straightedge will be provided for the participants but they should bring a pencil, colored pens/markers and last but not least their sense of humor.
